Believer's Church
A People of Faith

Why does Believer’s Church exist?

We exist because there are those that are hungry for the reality of the fullness of God. There is a reality of God’s abiding presence that is not found in production value but rather the Truth of the doctrine of the Apostles as revealed by the Holy Spirit in power.

How is “salvation” taught at Believer’s Church?

Salvation is taught as the scripture teaches;

Acts 16:30-32
And he brought them out and said,
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and you will be saved, you and your household.”
(See also Acts -39, Romans 10:8-13, and II Corinthians 5:17)

Do you teach the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Yes! The Holy Spirit is the life of the Church and the very power of God within those that believe. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. After, we believe in a life empowered by the Holy Spirit to live for God in the fullness of sonship through Jesus. (See Acts 2:1-4, 10:44-47, 13:52, 19:16; Ephesians 5:8-20)

Does Believer’s Church believe in healing and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

Fully and completely! We believe that there is healing in Christ for those that believe. (See Isaiah 53, Matthew 8:16-17, Luke 4:17-21, I Peter 2:24) We believe not only in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to serve the Church, (See I Corinthians 12:4-11, 27-28) but also in the gifts of the Spirit to lead the Church. (See Ephesians 4:7-16)

Is there worship at Believer’s Church?

Yes! There is the worship fueled by lives given to Christ that results in continual praise toward our heavenly Father. Our praise style is neither traditional nor contemporary. Our focus in praise is to honor God, not man. True praise is beyond style, it is a matter of love. (See John and Hebrews -16)

Is there liberty at a Believer’s Church gathering?

There is freedom in the Spirit! He is the Spirit of liberty. Yet all must be done decently and in order as the Word commands. You are free to worship in freedom. You are free to exercise the gifts of the Spirit that you may have, but all in accordance with I Corinthians 14:26-39. We seek the will of the Holy Spirit, not the exaltation of individuals.

Do you teach freedom in Christ or church rules?

The Word of God is the rule of the Church. We are set free for freedom, not bondage. (See Galatians 5:1, I Corinthians 6:9-12) We live by the law of love as we follow the Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 11:31-33)

What does Believer’s Church teach about giving?

Believer’s love to give. We give out of a cheerful heart, confident of blessing, and without fear of condemnation. (See Genesis 14:18-20, Luke 6:38, II Corinthians 9:6-15, Galatians 2:10, Philippians 4:14-20, I John 3:16-17) Many begin with the tithes, (when we speak of tithing or giving a tenth, we base it on the offering of Abraham to Melchizedek and not on the requirements or curses of the Law), but all giving is strictly as the Lord leads, on a voluntary basis, and is only between each one and the Lord.
